Responsible Care at Warwick International

Warwick International is committed to the "Responsible Care" programme, which is a commitment to continual improvement in health, safety and environmental performance and the communication of this to all stakeholders.

The company's commitment to the Chemical Industries Association's (CIA) Responsible Care Programme is displayed in the reception area of the site, and demonstrated by our active involvement and participation within the Responsible Care network. This was acknowledged by Warwick International winning the 1997 Responsible Care Award for best UK site.

The management of Responsible Care is fundamental to the success of the business, and is managed as an integral part of it.

One of our corporate objectives is to "ensure that top priority is given to ensuring Responsible Care of all stakeholders (our employees, the public at large and the environment)".

These values have been shared with all employees, and our commitment is further demonstrated by our Responsible Care Policy.

This policy goes beyond commitment to meet just legal criteria, but commits the organisation to sustainable development by prudent use of materials and continual improvement in all aspects of Responsible Care. The year 2000 saw the end of the first decade of the Responsible Care programme in which Warwick International reduced the emissions from the Mostyn site by a total of 95% despite a substantial increase in production output during that time.
